summer internship

This was the first day of my summer internship at Arcadia Design Systems, Inc. As an alternative to summer school, my parents had arranged for me to work at my father's company as they felt it would increase my chances of getting into a good college. The day began with Dad's colleague Jeff showing me how to create and run simple simulations in MATLAB. Jeff says MATLAB is a powerful programming language, but it's all Greek to me right now. Hopefully it'll become less confusing as I get more practice with it.

To be honest, I wasn't that interested in the internship as it was my parents who pressured me into accepting the offer. But I guess it's better than doing nothing and wasting the entire summer, not to mentioned that I'll be getting a bit of income. :P

done with 11th grade

The spring 2003 semester was long and tough, so I'm glad it's finally over. I didn't take any AP classes, but that didn't make things any easier because Physics Honors and Trigonometry alone were quite challenging. It wasn't all that bad because the teachers for both classes were absolutely wonderful, but the finals were nonetheless extremely difficult. I just hope I didn't bomb them. *fingers crossed*

In any case, it's nice to be able to catch a breath and start enjoying my well-earned summer vacation. :-)
